QUARTERBACK's arsenal of outstanding traits are such that we believe he will become the sire to advance the next generation of Optimizer genetics for our breeding program and Salers Optimizers at large.  He is a second generation Optimizer sired by our powerful producing homozygous black and homozygous polled Optimizer sire, MAC F1 SUNDANCE 4S.  His dam is a first-calf daughter of the Angus sire SAV 004 Density.  She is a high capacity, moderate, sound-structured, feminine female with near-perfect udder structure who maintained herself in outstanding condition while raising this powerful bull calf.  His grandmother is a NEBRASKA daughter and newly listed ASA Silver Dam who has raised a spectacular calf in every effort.  She has an average weaning ratio of 104 on her 4 calves with an average birth weight of 82 pounds.  These two females are the kind that we are continually aiming our herd toward, all of which makes us believe that QUARTERBACK will take us in the right direction for both performance and maternal traits.  QUARTERBACK is powerful and eye-catching.  He has a tremendous top and a wide, deep quarter that ties down closely to his hock.  He puts all of his thickness and performance together in a very clean made, eye-appealing package that features outstanding structure.  Best of all, the whole package is tied together with an exceptionally gentle disposition.

PRIOR TO THE SALE, WE ARE OFFERING 10 EXCLUSIVE SYNDICATE SEMEN SHARES ON QUARTERBACK

For $1000, the syndicate share holder receives 50 units of semen with the option to purchase future additional semen at a reduced cost.

*   No other semen will be sold in the first two years - the 10 syndicate shareholders, the purchaser of the possession interest and MacDonald Ranches will have exclusive use of the bull for two years

*   If the buyer of the possession interest in the bull has also purchased a syndicate share, the cost of the syndicate share will be applied to the purchase price of the possession interest and the syndicate interest will be sold to another purchaser after the sale

*   The possession interest of QUARTERBACK will be sold in our Performance Power 2012 sale on March 13.  Purchaser of the possession interest will also receive 1/2 of all semen sales after the two year exclusion has passed.
